Amarone de la Valpolicella Classico – Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella from the Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Classico in the Negrar Commune. Harvested by hand, the grapes are carefully handworked to clean each cluster before destalking and fermenting in stainless steel. Aging is carried out in barrels for 18 months and then in the bottle for a year. The Amarone Serafini & Vidotto displays a shining ruby red body, a prelude to red fruit aromas mixed with strong spice, violet and chocolate liqueur. Richly and smoothly textured, this superb wine stands out for the quality and style of its tannins. 15% Alcohol

Description

Francesco Serafini and Antonello Vidotto founded the winery in1986, with the aim of making quality wine. Aware of their land’s potential, they decided to apply the cultivation and vinification techniques of the most prestigious French winemakers. The public face of the winery is Francesco Serafini. He is dynamic and outgoing, passionate about wine to the point of fanaticism and a serious connoisseur and master taster. He is responsible mainly for the winemaking and external relations. Antonello Vidotto, who shares Francesco’s great passion for wine, has a more reclusive personality and these days spends most of his time tending the vineyards. For the two partners the pursuit of quality starts with careful work in the vineyards. Ripe and healthy grapes come from a high planting density (around 6,000 plants per hectare) and a low yield of around one bottle of wine per vine stock. The modern winery, designed by architect Carlo Palazzolo, is spread over two subterranean floors. The winery has become a pilgrimage destination not just for lovers of wine but also for architecture enthusiasts.
